Govt had done nothing to upbring the common people. its d hard work of common man who made him success. SRK, AMIR KHAN, SAIF ALI KHAN made their lives at their own... no govt helped them, they had talent so they got success. if Muslims have talent they will also get success... why dont Indian Muslim come out of their comfort zone of religion and work hard to success their lives. Indian Muslim is most politically, constitutionally and economically powerful in the world and all credit goes to Muslim govt of congress.
why does Indian Muslim is always asking from govt. do ur hard work and get success who stops them from doing so. |

| Who are these Religious leaders to decide what we should eat or not? Let them to their jobs in Temples and Mandir's and not interfere in someones eating habits. We will eat whatever we want to eat. If they want to worship COW as GOD let them worship. We have no objection. Tomorrow they will say what we should wear and what not ? We can hear and read so many Swami's are involved in SEX racket and already two, three are caught. Let them stop this. |

N.S. Shenoy,
You have rightly pointed out Muslim contribution to India's population growth and illiteracy!
We will also look around Mangalore:
We we have almost ten great builders in Mangalore from Muslim community. They are worth Crores and crores.
In Mangalore Bunder, about 80 percent of the wholesale business is now in the hands of Muslims.
If we go to Sub-registrar's office, most of the buyers of land are Muslims and majority sellers are Christians and Hindus!!
Can't they take up issues of educating Muslim children?
If we just cross southward, from Hosangady to Kasargod, almost all business complexes are theirs. Large hotels and lodgings are in the hands of this community.
Every furlong you can find a well designed Mosque.
Still they cry for reservation from this area of rich Muslims.
I would like to know the net worth of the following trio:
Yenapoya group
B.A. Ahmeda Haji group
Bava (congress candidate from Katipalla for Suratkal constituency) |

PD,
It is not who shows the concern left or right is the moot point.
Why 123 Manmohan Singh does not understand the implications of Civil Liability for Nuclear Damage Bill is the concern. How did it get clearance of his cabinet? The Private American Nuclear companies may not even hesitate to bring and dump their nuclear wastes in these reactor zone.
This will be the beginning. Later Nuclear companies of other countries also will get immunity on similar grounds which is hazardous.
Let us not forget Bhopal Tragedy and the impact even after 25 years. |

"think the community should launch its own political party with clear perspective."-Salman, Mangalore
Already there is a liberal political party of Muslims.-IUML.( Indian Union Muslim League).
There is also INL ( Indian National League) which is a Muslim-based political party in India, mainly active in the states of Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
IUML which is the oldest party of Muslims has already established office and cadres in Karnataka.
Why again new parties? People like you can join the existing parties and put forth your ideologies instead of splitting the community in political field. Is it to fight each other even in muslim dominated places like Ullal and lose the seat?
choti muh-badi bath.
Sorry if I am wrong. |

Mar 14, 2010 |
The BCM (Baptist Church of Mizoram) in a statement said that the homosexuality should be banned and termed birth control and abortion as "immoral acts".
The BCM is the dominant church in the Christian dominated Mizoram.
The Church does not seem to be concerned with the nation's problem of population explosion and shortage of food supply.
It is high time, the Prime Minister talk to the heads of BCM and take classes on India's main problems and enlighten these blank heads. |

I am wondering there is no response on this news from anyone. Had it been about some religious issues, I would have seen many comments. Some, even can't write 2 words properly also poke their nose and write here in as if they are 'Pundits' in the issue.
Is anyone hearing? Don't we need a World class Cricket Stadium at Mangalore? |

Mr Syed,
The Nanavati-Mehta commission report findings are based on the accounts in affidavits of eye-witnesses and some limited cross examination, both for and against. That view is the closest to the truth other than witnessing it first hand. You are indeed free to believe whatever you want, but if everything looks like a conspiracy then it is a high possibility that you are out of touch with the reality of the world - especially the part where you go and defend Pakistan for their terrorism against India. If you study the real history, Pakistan does not have any legitimate claim over Kashmir. |

Earn your place in this world by dint of hard work, using your intelligence and earning the trust of others. Good examples of such 'minorities' in India are Christians, Sikhs and Parsis. Why do people love and respect them? On the other hand, why are people from this so called 'latest & greatest' community despised and suspected in a major part of the world? Tis time for some introspection, not for blabbering like these nitwits.
Islam the panacea for all ills....yeah, yeah...just read the newspapers or switch on the tv and you'l know. We dont want our country to turn into another medieval madhouse, please. |

You are right. Same law should be applicable to two different people involved in the same kind of act or crime. MH CM has no responsibility to stop riots in 1993 (and now against North Indians) but Modi has to be tried :-) --Kiran
Yes, exactly. Therefore, going by our antecedent of MH CM, Modi is as innocent as MH CM. All Indians should support Modi until the MH CM of the Bombay riots infamy is brought under the same justice system. We cannot have two separate rules for two different (party) people who are in the same boat. |

I have to give it to you - for your first class comments about - India is not heading towards super power-dom but more towards partitions within partitions.
I would think that - external powers (british in the past and any neighbors who do not want India to go ahead of them) - would exactly want to use THESE PARTITIONS and create more partitions.
When we have everything going for us - we seem to be fighting among ourselves - instead of fighting to have better facilities or fighting for common good. Congress, BJP no one is above this - both sides are to be blamed.
We seem to be having more religious discourses here - extolling that their religion has places women at highest pedestal - yet when a cleric says - a woman should be within four walls - No PFI comes forward to criticize. We see that at any given public function only men. We see people going at lengths to criticize BEEF BAN. Are they concerned about progress of women in their respective community? How many children get proper education?
They demand reservation. How many children can get encouragement to finish their high school? Poverty and helplessness turns the youth into criminal activity- religious sentiments can be exploited by our neighboring countries to create religious tension.
Dear NS - you have a very good analytical mind and you have correctly assessed the situation about we Indians leading the country towards prosperity. Much of our energy and ideas seem to go to waste on trivial dividing issues.
I would be curious to know the perspectives of Puttur Dinesh - as he too has some thought provoking ideas at times. |

The muslim folks can scream all they want on how they can take India forward with Muslim rule. But Sir, this will never happen. India is democratic and the majority is Hindu and that is one fundamental reason why I would still wish to be born in this country again and again. There could be certain issues, but it is still livable and the minorities can voice their opinion and conduct religious ceremonies without an issue. Please let me know if I am wrong and give me another country with similar ethinicity that would be a better place.
Here is some world news to digest and see if this will show any signs of muslims taking India into the future.
March 13th news
Leading Muslim clerics have voiced their strong opposition to the Women’s Reservation Bill saying that it is against the provisions of the ''Sharia'' (Islamic law).
Well-known Shi’ite cleric Maulana Kalbe Jawwad went on to say that women’s place was “inside the home” and they could not be allowed to enter politics, where it was impossible for them to adhere to the Islamic laws like remaining in “purdah” or the veil.
Some progess here. Now still blame india for putting you behind in poverty.
Deccan herald
Thirty people were injured when clashes broke out between Christians and Muslims in a rural area in northern Egypt, media reports said.
Fighting erupted late on Friday in the north-western governorate of Mersa Matrouh over a fence Muslims said had been built to take over a piece of land to build a church, the BBC reported.
