Former President, A.P.J. Kalam, is a noble person, who has not lost his popularity, glamour, sheen and charisma, though he is not the President anymore.-Nelson Lewis.
Nelson,
You might have observed, Noble word does not have any place in today's politics. This is irrespective of Party lines. |

Guru; Nelson Lewis; Austin Noronha and Chris Rego,
First let the Queen apologize for the British Raj in India or at least the Jallianwallah Bagh Massacre. Then we can think of getting the Kohinoor back. But if Uncle Mallya makes up his mind, he should be able to get it for us :)
There were some talks of conferring the Knighthood on Sachin Tendulkar. He should not accept it at any cost should it come his way in future. |

This is our preparedness for an International Sporting Event. 72 Nations participating and the most coveted opportunity to showcase our organizing capacity, make our contention stronger to host an Olympic within the next 25 years or so and enhance the image of India in the eyes of rest of the 71 Nations is already marred by broken tiles in the stadium and public verbal spat between officials has now got the Vitamin C i.e. corruption angle. Iss ko kehte hai 'Soney pe suhaaga'. Had countries like Japan or China been hosting the CWG, by now the Games Village would have looked like a prosperous kingdom.
Looks like the image created by the IT Sector and the knowledge-rich Indian diaspora about India is bound to go for a toss. Thank God our IT sector's Bread & Butter country is not participating! |

I get your point on Srinath and Kumble, O R Pai.
But the career-span of bowlers, especially fast bowlers is normally very short while compared to that of batsmen. One LIVE example in front of us is the Australian paceman Brett Lee. Debuted in 1999 at the MCG (and greeted with a magnificent 126 at the MCG by Sachin Tendulkar, then the Captain of the team, including a straight six of Shane Warne) is already a spent force. This inspite of not being the prime bowler like Srinath was for India ever since Kapil retired.
This is why I have high regards for the ace of Pakistan i.e. Wasim Akram. He played most of his Cricket being diabetic and on sub-continent pitches, where heat and humidity is at maximum and wickets are either batsmen or spinner friendly unlike Aussie, English and Carribean pitches where the conditions are normally even and assists pace and swing bowling and room for error as a batsman is minimum. Inspite of this, he has to his credit, 2 hat-tricks each in ODIs and Test Cricket (which came in 2 consecutive Test matches) He also has a Test Double Hundred and some 50s in ODIs, not to forget, captained the most controversial Cricket Team in the Cricketing world where internal turmoil and backstabbing is very common.
He rubbished Waqar Younis\' idea of getting run-out and halting Anil Kumble\'s marathon spell at 9 wickets at Feroz Shah Kotla by saying \"Even if I could get 10 wickets in gully Cricket, I would have been happier\" and later became Kumble\'s 10th victim of the innings (and hence Kumble missed a rare distinction of bowling out all players of the opposition in a Test match since Waqar Younis remained unbeaten in both innings. Only Jim Laker holds that record I guess)
Tendulkar v/s Saqlain, Aravinda v/s Waqar, Sanath v/s Akram.... Those were the days and what a sight it was!! Now we have to be contended with fake legends like Shoaib Akthar and Kevin Pieterson and Ricky Ponting who make noise via hairstyles and media statements. |

"The masters, against whom you rage, freed India from Muslim rule and transferred control of India to Hindus" - Tony, USA
I have to admit - This one beats everything I have heard from 'self-hating' groups in the past.
Yes - Masters came to India to free india from Muslim rule and grant us fredom. Wonderful.
Dear Tony - Does 'clueless' mean anything to you? Just wondering. |

Right and wrong has been discussed on TV at length yesterday. Let's talk facts. I thoroughly enjoyed watching a free show of Dimpy Ganguly's thunder thighs on 'reputed' National News Channels yesterday. Now Kangana Ranaut and Nayanthara have competition. This babe has a bright future in some Bong or Mallu movies!
How many Indian men were glued to the TV sets yesterday? Let's be honest :) |

"Take some time to digest this mate" - says our 'google' Rego after posting more references from old Indian books!
Listen, brotha - I should thank you for doing some 'google' (re)search on how evil brahmins and priests promoted the local population to stay in India, discouraging them from crossing the ocean.
Because, it helps me make my case below!
Ok - This is not something new. if you use your favirite 'google' again, you will find that other civilizations have also done the same to 'protect' their culture from outside influences. The best example is Japan. Almost for 2-3 centuries, the dominant Samurai culture closed any interactions with outside world to protect their native culture and heritage.
Here is what you totally missed. 'Protecting' is different from 'invading'!!! Get it??? Every civilization has the right to protect their land and culture. But....your masters went around the globe with a gun in one hand and 'something-else' in the other hand, telling people how they all should change their lifestyle, language, dress, names, god and everything!
Did you get it now?
Well, let me give another example so you can understand this better. if you 'google' even more, you will find that India welcomed non-native religions such as Christianity, Islam, Judaism and Zoroastrianism centuries ago. In fact, christianity reached India(Kerala) in first century AD. They could safely practice their faith and lifestyle for centuries until one day when your masters arrived!!!!
You can read in detail how your Masters destroyed (burnt) all the texts of syrian christians from Malabar area. Your masters denounced the malabar christian's version of faith as 'false'!!
(link - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Syrian_Malabar_Nasrani)
So...take some time to digest this mate! |

"Bonnie's poem touched a raw nerve too many" - Rego continues to congratulate his team from his den.
Dude - As I said before, do whatever makes you happy. There is no need to justify why you congratulate eachother. You can write more poems or you can write how you guys 'fully agree' with eachother and so on...
Smiles... |

Thanks for your comments. To know about canada no need to visit. First of all you must know about what you are commenting. Who told you that temples are built in govt. land. Try to learn from your own country tradition and culture. I think this is your fundamental aim is to make comments about our tradition and culture to satisfying your own people. |

Electricity supply companies, call them by any name (KEB, MESCOM, MCOM), are notorious in breaking their own rules while billing to the consumers. And instead of agreeing their fault, they go to any extent to justify their mistakes. Poor consumers have to struggle to get justice. I appriciate the concerned Consumers Forum's decision in this matter.

Is this a surprise? NOOOO!!
I'm not sure why TV channels are promoting this character (Rahul Mahajan) instead of good role models? I hope this trend of promoting drug users and losers on national TV channels doesn't continue anymore! |

Rahul Mahajan is a character by himself.
After his father, Pramod Mahajan's death, BJP was enthusiastic in taking Rahul Mahajan in their fold and giving him a senior position to propel his political career - all for his father's sake.
In 2006, Rahul Mahajan was arrested for drug abuse charges and by then the world should have known that this man is abnormal and not a sane person. After knowing all this, his childhood friend, Shweta Singh, married him only to be separated and divorced in 2008.
Thereafter, stupid ladies made a beeline to marry him in the Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jayege and he selected and married Dimple Ganguly. Now, after knowing his background, still this lady committed hara-kiti. Who is to be blamed?
Even his father, Pramod Mahajan, was a notorious person from what we hear from the grapevine. |

I am not into social networking websites because I feel that it is just waste of time. VRS
You have proved enough to say that you are an anti social element. By definition man is a Social animal. Person who doesn’t socialise with others is just an animal. Sorry I am insulting animals. Often animals are better than human beings. This forum is meant for people to socialise. It is better if you keep move out of this forum so that forum could maintain its dignity.

Clearly, some of the idoitic leaders in state BJP have created a monster called 'Bellary gang' as if we had no other issues in our state. 'Operation Kamala' was the biggest blunder. With thosands of crores of rupess in their pocket (from illegal mining), Reddy gang has more 'buying power' than anyone else. This 'reddy gang' is going to be a huge challenge for State BJP and eventually to our state politics.

| Can India be able to prove the ownership of Kohinoor Diamond? I was told that it belongs to then Nizaam of Hyderabad. When India captured Hyderabad under the leadership of Sardar Patel, Nizaam was allowed to take all his possessions and go to Pakistan. Shouldn't it be rightfully belong to the decendants of Nizaam? |
